Repeating the Lingo is Keeping it Alive
If we think we’re being nice by using terms, phrases and by answering absurd questions which are contrary to our belief systems, values, morals and ethics, we are not.
If we think we’re keeping ourselves safe and fitting-in by telling lies, we are not—at least in the long-run. We certainly aren’t making ourselves trustworthy and sincere. And think about this: with what exactly are we trying to fit-in?
In repeating the lingo and answering the nonsense questions, we actually doing our part: we’re complying, we’re helping to desensitize, and we’re keeping the the lies alive..
"If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed."
